I founded the Lockboss brand in 2024. That was exactly the year battery theft of Ouxi and V20 batteries really took off. By now, thousands of unprotected batteries a month are kicked out of these popular fatbikes. Even in secured parking garages, unprotected batteries aren't safe!

My son Sam rides an Ouxi V8. His battery was stolen twice within 3 months, at the gym and at the supermarket. That was my reason to solve this problem once and for all.

With a team of industrial designers AND a metal workshop, we built a lock specifically for the battery and frame of the Ouxi V8. In the first weeks of selling it, we got lots of urgent requests to make a lock for the V20 as well. That was tricky, but in the end it worked out perfectly. The Lockboss L2, specially for the V20, V20 Pro and V8 Mini.

To keep things really simple, we eventually launched the universal Lockboss L4 to replace all previous Lockboss models.
